Chimutu District Training

Sep 29 2019

Africa2019.dng_733-2In September of 2019 we were able to do training for the Chiwoko Zone, one of the zones in the Chimutu District.   Chiwoko Zone has 14 schools, 675 teachers and over 44,000 learners.   Our team of 8 did training in the use of the PAL in the classroom, classroom management, different  learning styles, HIV/AIDS, nutrition and the importance of keeping boys and girls in school.  The assessment forms confirmed that the teachers appreciated the training and were more encouraged in facing a new school year.

Africa2019.dng_751-2Teachers attending the conference received a certificate of completion, a jump rope and soccer ball for their school as well as a bible and children’s bible.   They were so grateful.

After the training we were able to meet with Ellen Simango the Deputy Director of Basic Education.   We had a great discussion about the opportunity of teaming with them to bring our training to more teachers.  The future holds great possibilities for the PAL project.
